Mentor, Ohio – May 19, 2009 -LakeCatholicHigh School is preparing to break ground on over a half-million dollar field improvement project.Although the majority of the funds have been raised through traditional campaign pledges and contributions, the Student Government is sponsoring one last student driven campaign to get us over the top.A fund raising effort was launched today allowing our students, faculty, and staff to sign a campaign wall of contribution for a two dollar donation. Lake Catholic Student Government Executive President said, “This is a great and affordable way to get the entire student body involved in the campaign. We are excited about the field improvements and know it will help to keep the LakeCatholic tradition alive.”
A check for the raised amount will be presented to school president, Mr. Sal Miroglotta at an assembly this Thursday. Through the efforts of the Student Government the amount they raise will officially put us over the top and allow LakeCatholic to break ground on this much needed project.
LakeCatholicHigh School is a coeducational, comprehensive school with an enrollment of 817. It is owned and operated by the Diocese of Cleveland. The school’s mission is “centered in the mission of Jesus Christ where young men and women of diverse interests and abilities are encouraged to learn, to work together, and to think for themselves.”
