CAMPUS MINISTRY

Leadership Camp - Grades 6-8, June 20-23, 8a-11a

Price: $100 includes camp t-shirt and snacks

Led by campus minister Mrs. Alison Ellis, this camp is designed to develop leadership skills while engaging in service activities and friendly competitions.

ART

Pottery for Adults - Tuesdays, May 31-June 28, 6p-9p

Price: $30 per night or $120 for all 5 classes; Fee includes all supplies and a non-alcoholic beverage and snacks.

Instructor: Mrs. Kelly Wolf

Come and join us and learn something new! You will learn hand-building techniques including pinch, coil, and tile methods and throwing on the wheel. Decoration will include ceramic glazes and watercolor stain techniques with a little added glitz and glitter. You will be able to experiment with different low-fire glazes to create similar effects to raku firing. 

Anyone with previous ceramics experience can use this as studio time to work on personal projects and use all the materials available. You can come for one day or multiple days. You can come and go as you please. This is an adult open studio concept.

Gotta Make a Gnome! - Thursdays, June 2 & 9, 6-9p

Price: $30; Fee includes all supplies and a non-alcoholic beverage and snacks.

For: Adults and/or teens

Instructor: Mrs. Kelly Wolf

We are going to use the hand-building technique of pinch pots to create ceramic gnomes. You can add clay appliques to make them unique. This is a 2-night clay. We will build on June 2 and glaze on June 9.  You can pick up at your convenience after Friday, June 10.

Cougar Art Camp - Grades K-3, June 6-9, 9a-12p

Price: $130 per camper includes camp t-shirt & all supplies

Cougar art camp led by instructor Mrs. Tina Meeks provides artists with a wonderful introduction to several forms of visual art. Each day brings new projects with different mediums that include drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, fiber arts, and sculpture. Students will be working in a creative environment learning new and fun skills!

Awesome Art Days - Grades 4-8, June 13-16, 8a-12p

Pack your suitcase and grab your passport because we are going on a trip! Everyday is a day of discovery. You will experience different media and subject matter as it relates to a unique location. Within those days, you will be working in a creative environment learning new and fun things. We play music and get to know each other as we get our creative juices flowing.

Let's Play with Clay - Grades 4-8, June 21, 23, 28 & 30, 8a-12p

Price: $130 includes camp t-shirt, snacks, beverages, and all supplies

Instructor: Mrs. Kelly Wolf

Come and join us for four days of working with clay. The format is set-up so on the first two days you are building your clay pieces and allowing them to dry and on the second two days you are decorating your pieces and, able to take them home with you. You will be building by hand using pinch, coil, and tile techniques and throwing on the wheel. Decoration will include ceramic glazes, watercolor stain techniques, and tempera paint with a little added glitz and glitter.

Theatre Camp - Grades 7-12, July 6, 8, 11, 13, 15 & 16, 12p - 4p 

Price: $150

Led by the Performing Arts Chair and professional actor/director Scott Posey, this camp will focus on the skills needed to develop a fully realized character for performance. Students will work utilizing basic theatre games, improvisation and scripted materials as they prepare for a final showcase of their work on the last afternoon of camp.  

Acting for Adults - July 5, 7, 12 & 14 (with an optional afternoon showcase performance on July 16), 6p-9p

Price: $125

Led by Performing Arts Chair and professional actor/director Scott Posey, these sessions will offer participants an introduction to acting or the opportunity to brush-up their acting chops. Participants will work one-on-one and in groups through the use of monologues and scripted scenes to develop living and breathing characters. A final optional showcase performance will be held on Saturday afternoon, July 16th.

Boys Basketball Camp - Grades 3-9, June 6-9, 9a-12p

Girls & Boys Golf Camp - Ages 7-15, June 11 & 18, 2p-4p

Price: $60 includes camp t-shirt

Location: Blackbrook Golf Course

Our goal is to get elementary and middle school students exposed to golf by providing a skills clinic which focuses on driving, chipping and putting! The camp will foster an environment of learning and development. There will be a friendly competition with prizes on the last day.

Girls Lacrosse Camp - Grades 4-9, June 20-23, 9a-3p

Price: $140, includes camp t-shirt and lunch

The goal of the camp is to teach the fundamentals of lacrosse while ensuring that each player leaves with a new appreciation for the game. Box lunched provided daily and each participant receives a camp t-shirt. Contact Coach Mercuri with any questions.

Girls & Boys Soccer Camp - Ages 6-14, June 20-23, 6p-730p

Led by Lake Catholic Girls Soccer Coach Chris Hastings, participants will learn how to improve dribbling, passing, trapping and shooting skills. Email Coach Chris Hastings with any questions.

Girls Basketball Camp - Grades 4-6, June 27-30, 10:30a-12:30p

Price: $90, includes camp t-shirt

One week is offered for girls entering the 4- 6th grades in the fall. Emphasis on fundamentals including shooting, dribbling, passing, and defending will be taught. Campers will be put through team drills, stations, and games to improve upon their individual skills and team concepts. Contact Coach Michael Pecjak with any questions.

Girls Basketball Camp - Grades 7-9, June 27-30, 1p-330p

One week is offered for girls entering 7-9th grade in the fall. To-be Cougars are strongly encouraged to attend this camp. The coaching staff will run drills that are competitive and geared toward improving each camper’s overall individual potential and knowledge of the game. Instruction for both guards and posts will take place daily to help players learn or improve upon their techniques. This is a great opportunity to get to know the staff and players as well as learning what the Lady Cougar Basketball program is all about. Contact Coach Michael Pecjak with any questions.

Youth Football Camp - Grades K-5, July 23, 9a-11a

Price: $30

The Youth Football Camp conducted by the Lake Catholic Football Staff and Players will focus on foundational principles of the game of football. Campers will enjoy a broad introduction of techniques related, but not limited, to proper blocking, tackling, running, catching as well as position specific skills. More importantly, campers will discover that the game of football is a fun and enjoyable experience through the enthusiasm and structure offered in the camp. Campers should bring cleats, sportswear, and a water bottle. Email Coach Marty Gibbons with any questions.

Middle School Football Camp - Grades 6-8, July 23, 11a-1p

Price: $30

The Middle School Football Camp conducted by the Lake Catholic Football Staff and Players will focus on foundational principles of the game of football. Skills camp introducing and enhancing all volleyball skills, including passing, setting, hitting, serving, and ball control. Camps will be run by the Lake Catholic coaching staff, our Varsity Volleyball team, and some of our Once-A-Cougar-Always-A-Cougar Alumni. All camps include a t-shirt for each camper and additional prizes to the winners of various camp contests and awards. Please pack a lunch and ample water for your athlete each day, as we will be giving them breaks accordingly. Email Coach Kara Oster with any questions.
