    We are truly blessed today for so many reasons - from the wonderful 6+ hour Facebook Live Event conducted by our Media Production/Cougar Broadcast Network members, to the students, faculty, staff, parents, grandparents, alumni and friends who donated to the Cougar Community in amazing fashion on Giving Tuesday through the weGiveCatholic Day of Giving.
    Our results are in, and we surpassed last year's total of $15,929 by 171%!  A special thank you to the Dedinsky Family for their $5,000 challenge match and ongoing support of Catholic education.
    As we near our celebratory 50th anniversary year, Lake Catholic High School is proud of its legacy and the caring, compassionate and special community we are all so fortunate to be a part of.  THANK YOU COUGARS!

  • Class of 2023 Already Making Their Mark in the Community

    Our Freshmen students provided The Salvation Army with 120 meals for Halloween - complete with a sweet treat and decorated bags!

    During their religious classes, they joined Ms. Down and Mrs. Vazzana in this special service project. "The Salvation Army needs 120 meals per day and we fulfilled that for them," said Mrs. Vazzana.

    Lake Catholic recent graduate, Aliya Humphris ‘19 won first place in the Lake County Art Contest in photography division for her photograph "Beauty in Death". Artwork will be on display until Oct. 2 in the Mentor Courthouse lobby.

    Cardinal Credit Union has been a part of the Mentor community for more than half a century – and for nearly a decade, they’ve been supporting the financial literacy of Lake Catholic students. Now, Cardinal is adding to their partnership with Lake, underwriting the purchase and installation of unique educational display boards, located in the school’s main hallway.

  • Cougars Present Speeches for Mentor Rotary Club Contest

    Today Melina Gabele (‘19)  and Mario Slogar (‘20) presented speeches for the Mentor Rotary Club’s speech contest.  Students were challenged to apply the Rotary International’s 4 Way Test to defend their point of view on a current ethical issue.  Melina spoke about the importance of vaccination and Mario spoke about privacy vs. national security.  Both students did an excellent job thanks to the guidance of English teacher Laura Tyler.  Great job Melina and Mario!
  • LC Rugby Starts Season Off With 38-0 Win Over Mentor

    Lake Catholic Rugby started off the season with a 38-0 divisional win over Mentor High School. View more pictures from the News Herald. Eight new players took the field in the win. Justin Pike took Man of the Match with 3 tries. Niko Tomic added 4 or 5 successful conversion kicks. Great job Cougars!
