• Cougars Present Speeches for Mentor Rotary Club Contest

    Today Melina Gabele (‘19)  and Mario Slogar (‘20) presented speeches for the Mentor Rotary Club’s speech contest.  Students were challenged to apply the Rotary International’s 4 Way Test to defend their point of view on a current ethical issue.  Melina spoke about the importance of vaccination and Mario spoke about privacy vs. national security.  Both students did an excellent job thanks to the guidance of English teacher Laura Tyler.  Great job Melina and Mario!
  • LC Rugby Starts Season Off With 38-0 Win Over Mentor

    Lake Catholic Rugby started off the season with a 38-0 divisional win over Mentor High School. View more pictures from the News Herald. Eight new players took the field in the win. Justin Pike took Man of the Match with 3 tries. Niko Tomic added 4 or 5 successful conversion kicks. Great job Cougars!
