Lake Catholic Class of 2030 Scholarships

Lake Catholic High School awards several scholarships ranging from $500 to $8,000. Many of these scholarships are renewable each year and every scholarship has its own set of criteria and requirements for consideration. All applications and supporting information must be received by November 14, 2025, at 11:59pm. 

• To be considered for the Class of 2030 General Scholarship, you must complete the Lake Catholic High School General Scholarship Application for the Class of 2030.
• The Visual Arts Scholarship and the Music Scholarship each have their own application, and require supporting portfolios or videos to be sent in as part of the application.
• Lake Catholic High School offers Cougar Elite Academic Scholarships to students based on the results of the High School Placement Test (HSPT). All incoming Class of 2030 students are required to take the placement test. Students who score within our academic scholarship range will qualify for an academic scholarship. This range varies from year to year. Tests can be taken at Lake Catholic High School or scores can be submitted from another school who administers the same test. These scores must be submitted to us by November 14th.

State of Ohio Scholarships

The Ohio Department of Education (ODE) provides funding through EdChoice Traditional and Expansion Scholarships, the Cleveland Scholarship Program and the Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship Program to assist with the cost of tuition at non-public schools. 

The EdChoice Traditional and Cleveland Scholarship Program are limited to $8,408; the EdChoice Expansion awards range from $840.80 to $8408 based upon income and household size; and the Jon Peterson awards vary based upon the disability identified.

Legacy Students

A $500.00 renewable grant is offered to each student with a parent or grandparent who is an alumnus of Lake Catholic High School. (limit one discount per student, per year)

Tuition Assistance

Requires submission of a FACTS application every year for which financial aid is desired.

• FACTS Grant and Aid (FACTS) will process all applications and release the results to Lake Catholic High School and the Diocese of Cleveland.
• The deadline to apply for tuition assistance is December 1, 2025. Late applications will be considered if funding is available.

Diocesan Tuition Assistance

Requires submission for a FACTS application every year for which financial aid is desired.

• Students at Lake Catholic High School may qualify for Tuition Assistance Grants from the Diocese of Cleveland. The Diocesan Tuition Assistance is announced in May 2026.
• Fund a Dream is a tuition assistance scholarship program to support Catholic Education. Applications open in January 2026.

Angel Fund

This tax-credit scholarship program is to award scholarships to our high school students. Lake Catholic provides tuition assistance for families who wish to send their children to our Catholic schools. Applications open in February 2026 and the awards are announced in May 2026.

Endowed

Alumni and friends of Lake Catholic High School have established many scholarship opportunities for our incoming class. These scholarships are awarded based on financial need, academic excellence, participation in service and leadership activities. Applicants must complete a FACTS financial aid application.
