State of Ohio Scholarships

The Ohio Department of Education (ODE) provides funding through EdChoice Traditional and Expansion Scholarships, the Cleveland Scholarship Program and the Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship Program to assist with the cost of tuition at non-public schools. 

The EdChoice Traditional and Cleveland Scholarship Program are limited to $8,408; the EdChoice Expansion awards range from $840.80 to $8408 based upon income and household size; and the Jon Peterson awards vary based upon the disability identified.


Legacy Students

A $500.00 renewable grant is offered to each student with a parent or grandparent who is an alumnus of Lake Catholic High School. (limit one discount per student, per year)


Tuition Assistance

Requires submission of a FACTS application every year for which financial aid is desired.

  • FACTS Grant and Aid (FACTS) will process all applications and release the results to Lake Catholic High School and the Diocese of Cleveland.
  • The deadline to apply for tuition assistance is December 1, 2025. Late applications will be considered if funding is available.

Diocesan Tuition Assistance

Requires submission for a FACTS application every year for which financial aid is desired.

  • Students at Lake Catholic High School may qualify for Tuition Assistance Grants from the Diocese of Cleveland. The Diocesan Tuition Assistance is announced in May 2026.
  • Fund a Dream is a tuition assistance program to support Catholic Education. Fund a Dream does not have a scholarship application. Rather, each school provides recommendations to the Catholic Community Foundation. Families with highest financial need are prioritized. 

Angel Fund

This tax-credit scholarship program awards scholarships to Lake Catholic High School students. Families with a household income below 300% of the poverty level are prioritized. Applications open in February 2026 and the awards are announced in September/October 2026.

Endowed

Alumni and friends of Lake Catholic High School have established scholarship opportunities for incoming and continuing students. These scholarships are awarded based on financial need, academic excellence, participation in service and leadership activities. Applicants must complete a FACTS financial aid application. Families will be notified of additional endowed scholarship applications through The Bulletin, the weekly newsletter sent to all current families and students throughout the school year.
