Reports To: The President of Lake Catholic

Hours: Full-Time 12 Months | Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm | Exempt

As an integral member of the Lake Catholic leadership team, the Director of Finance is responsible for directing the accounting, finance and human resource functions of the School. The position requires creative thinking, prudent financial planning and the desire/ability to professionally represent the School at both internal and external events.

The Director of Finance works closely with the Lake Catholic leadership team, the Advisory Board Finance Committee, and Diocesan offices to maintain and develop sound financial operations. The Director of Finance supervises the staff required to carry out the finance/business functions of the school.

Position Requirements

• Prepares all financial statements and other management reports (monthly, quarterly, annually).
• Conducts financial analysis and prepares budget and related projections.
• Responsible for integrity of annual audit. Prepares all documentation and responds to auditor’s requests.
• Forecasts and controls the school’s cash flow and management of credit.
• Implements and completes all accounting processes and relevant reconciliations.
• Oversees the billing and collection of tuition.
• Manages accounts payable and disbursements including year-end tax requirements.
• Manages accounts receivable including banking, cash handling and proper safeguards.
• Administers payroll, benefit, retirement processing and human resource functions.
• Establishes and maintains an adequate and proper internal control system.
• Oversees the financial administration of government funding programs.
   

Qualifications

• Evidence of a strong commitment to the values, mission, ministry, and evangelization commission of the Catholic Church. Must be a practicing Catholic with demonstrated knowledge of the Catholic Church, Catholic education, and Catholic teachings and traditions.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in finance or accounting required.
• Non-profit business office experience preferred.
• Must be proficient in computer spreadsheets, accounting and financial reporting software and other applications.
• Self-starter with an ability to accomplish responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Human resource administrative experience.
• Proficiency with Quickbooks and Paycor payroll software preferred.
• CPA or MBA a plus.
• The position requires VIRTUS certification and a successful FBI/BCI background check.

Range

$95,000 — $105,000

AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic team member to immediately hire filling the role of part-time Food Service Worker at Lake Catholic. This position will NOT work weekends, late nights or early mornings or any holidays. Work when the children are at school.

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and serving daily meals in accordance with menu guidelines
• Set up and maintain food stations for breakfast and lunch service
• Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures are followed
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Assist with dishwashing and general cleaning of the kitchen and dining areas
• Restock supplies and maintain inventory levels as directed
• Provide friendly, courteous service to students, staff, and visitors

Qualifications

• Previous food service or kitchen experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment

REPORTS TO: Athletic Director

Founded in 1970, Lake Catholic High School is a coeducational comprehensive high school with a college preparatory emphasis. Lake Catholic is committed to educating young men and women of diverse means and ability throughout Northeast Ohio. With a population of roughly 500 students in grades nine through twelve, Lake Catholic High School emphasizes spiritual growth in the Catholic Faith as students learn, work, and serve.

Essential Job Functions

• Knows existing state and league regulations; implements the same consistently and interprets them for staff.
• Has a thorough knowledge of all school administrative and athletic policies and is responsible for their implementation.
• Understands the proper administrative line of command and refers to all requests or grievances through proper channels.
• Attends all required departmental & league meetings.
• Establishes the fundamental philosophy, skills, and techniques to be taught by coaching staff.
• Act in a manner consistent with the Catholic philosophy of the school when dealing with players, coaches, officials, parents, and other spectators.
• Expect and enforce this type of behavior from athletes.
• Assist the Athletic Director with scheduling, securing transportation, and providing required materials for tournament play. Assist in providing transportation to/from events.
• Assists in the necessary preparation to hold scheduled sport events or practices and adheres to scheduled facility times.
• Consistently checks Final Forms (daily) for current physicals of student athletes and ensures all paperwork is electronically signed by parents and student athletes.
• Provides the Player Packet (Expectations/Rules, Uniform Agreement, Participation Fee, Calendar, etc.) to the Athletic Director.
• A final roster of team members for state eligibility requirements and the athletic department must be submitted through Final Forms within one week of the season start date/tryouts.
• Provides proper safeguards for maintenance and protection of assigned equipment.
• Performs other duties which may be assigned by the Athletic Director or Principal.
• Responsible for operating within the fundraising budget and has knowledge of all purchasing procedures (per approval of the Athletic Director).
• Accountable for all equipment. Coordinates the issuance and recording of equipment. Oversees the collection of issued equipment.
• Supervises locker room before and after practices and games. Responsible for the cleanliness of the locker room and practice areas. Supervises the weight room when used by participants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in education, sports management, or related field (preferred)
• Proven experience as a high school coach, with head coaching experience (preferred).
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
