Position Overview
The Performing Arts Assistant works in conjunction with the Director of Performing Arts and the Principal for all support-related duties. The Performing Arts Assistant reports directly to the Director of Performing Arts.
FLSA: Non-Exempt Part-time
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinates Concert Programs
- Music History compilation
- Robe assignments and cleaning and LC Singer assignments and cleaning
- Theater Program database
- Musical and Play support
- Registration collection
- Locker decoration coordinator
- Posters
- Advertising
- Social media
- Program coordination
- Ticket Sales
- Award coordination
- Social Media
- Check requests / monitor spending
- Booster liaison including the Craft Fair
- Maintain participation records
- Maintain Final Forms for Marching Band
- Facilitate Awards banquet with boosters
- Facilitates Cougar for the Day
- Facilitates Field Trips and Transportation for Performing Arts
Essential skills
- Excellent written, verbal, listening and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and application details efficiently.
- Detail-oriented while also able to see the long-term vision.
- Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
- Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office suite and Google docs.
- Commitment to the Catholic education of students in the tradition of the Diocese of Cleveland.
Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalency
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in high school performing arts preferred
- Willing to work mornings, evenings, and weekends

Faculty
Founded in 1970, Lake Catholic High School is a coeducational comprehensive high school with a college-preparatory emphasis. Because of significant enrollment growth, we are adding new teaching positions for the upcoming school year to support our expanding student body. Lake Catholic is committed to educating young men and women of diverse means and ability throughout Northeast Ohio. With a population of roughly 525 students in grades nine through twelve, Lake Catholic High School emphasizes spiritual growth in the Catholic Faith as students learn, work, and serve.
Essential Job Functions
- As a member of the school faculty, the mathematics instructor will teach 9th through 12th-grade mathematics classes as the principal assigns.
- Implement the curriculum per the standards set forth by the Diocese of Cleveland and the Ohio Department of Education.
- Work cooperatively with special education teachers to modify curricula as needed for special education students according to Individual Education Plans (IEP).
- Foster a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and critical thinking.
- Utilize various teaching methodologies to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary approaches to teaching history.
- Participate in school events, faculty meetings, and other events throughout the year.
- Maintain a safe and effective learning environment.
- Provide outstanding and engaging instruction to students.
- Monitor students and complete other school-related responsibilities as assigned by the principal.
- Maintain accurate records and effectively communicate progress with students, parents, and school administrators.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (master’s preferred but not required).
- 7-12 integrated mathematics/mathematics teaching certificate through the Ohio Department of Education.
- Strong commitment to the mission of the Diocese of Cleveland and Catholic Church.
- Prior experience teaching similarly aged students is preferred, but not required.
- Candidate must also be able to pass FBI and BCI background checks and complete the Diocese of Cleveland VIRTUS program.
