Admissions Test for Current 8th Graders
This year, Lake Catholic will be offering the High School Placement Test (HSPT) as our placement exam. The test is a little longer than two-and-a-half hours, offered in-person at Lake Catholic. Test results must be received by November 15 to be considered for an academic scholarship.
The test is available for current 8th graders only and must be completed prior to registering at Lake Catholic. Students who take the HSPT at other schools may use that score for the admissions' requirement, but not scholarship consideration if received after November 15, 2026. Please submit test scores taken at another school to Jennifer Bretz to be used for class placement and registration at Lake Catholic.
Test scores from other tests such as the OLSAT, ISee, or other admission exams cannot be submitted for application or academic scholarship consideration. Lake Catholic will only accept scores from an HSPT exam that is comparable to the test we administer.
The Admissions Test is required for 8th graders considering admission to Lake Catholic High School.

- Saturday, November 14, 2026, 9a*
- Thursday, January 20, 2027, 4p*
(* We will be holding a Parent Forum from 9-1030a and 4-530p while the student is taking the test)
For students needing accommodations, please send the 504/IEP/Accommodation plans to Lake Catholic Admissions one week prior to testing. Accommodations will only be offered during the November 8 exam.
