As a Catholic community, we know that prayer is the basis of our relationship with Jesus Christ. As part of our mission of forming young men and young women in the joy of knowing Christ, we offer diverse prayer experiences and invitations to praying with the Church. With a robust retreat program and opportunities to be leaders in our school’s prayer life, every student graduates having been offered an encounter with Jesus in the Sacraments, in informal prayer, and in formal prayer services.

Adoration is offered on Fridays during Advent and Lent (and some other times throughout the year). Students attend as part of their theology class period.

All students participate in liturgies as an entire community approximately once a month at St. John Vianney Parish, on church feast days like Ash Wednesday and the Solmenity of All Saints' Day and the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, along with major school events like Catholic Schools week and the start and end of the school year.

Students take leadership roles in setting up and preparing lectors, gift bearers, servers, and other ministries as needed, along with singing in the liturgical choir, leading music.

These masses are celebrated by our school chaplain and/or priests from local parishes.

Our school chaplains also celebrate a morning mass before school at 715a every Thursday. This is open to everyone in our community, many parents come with their students before heading to work.

Our senior leaders are paired with freshman students throughout the year to reinforce our Lake Catholic core values and traditions. This "connection" provides our younger students with exemplary role models, prayer opportunities, and small group discussions.

Reconciliation is offered during Advent and Lent; all students are encouraged to participate in this Sacrament.

Our chaplains are also available for confession on their day in the building.
