Abby Detering (‘14) was named an assistant coach for Penn State Women's Volleyball Team. Detering, a Lake Catholic Athletic Hall of Famer and former All-American setter for the Nittany Lions, returns to Happy Valley after spending the past four seasons on the coaching staff at Rutgers.

Kasey Konte (‘16), the Associate Athletic Director for Operations at John Carroll University, has been named the winner of the 2026 Emerging Leader Award by The Collegiate Event and Facilities Management Association. Congratulations Kasey!

2020s

Amaedeo Cantini (‘20) recently announced that he has moved to a Digital Growth Coordinator at BBI Logistics.

Joey Browske (‘22) graduated from Kent State University in December 2025 and recently started as a Logistics Coordinator at Allen Lund Company.

Callie Frimel (‘22) has accepted a position as a Finance Coordinator on the Investments Team at Bedrock Detroit following her graduation from Miami University.

Will Kotheimer (‘22) recently announced his engagement to Annessa Pelk. Congratulations Will and Annessa!

Gia Mazzolini (‘23) graduated from Walsh University with a degree in Visual Communications Design, with minors in business and marketing. 
 

Dan Malchesky (‘23) has been named an Editor for The Undergraduate Law Review at Ohio State.

Andrew Zalar (‘23) recently announced that he’ll be joining The Coca-Cola Company as a Finance Intern in its Atlanta Headquarters this summer.

Maximus Barnes (‘25) recently won the The Tim Russert Department of Communication Speech Contest at John Carroll University. His speech, “Conquering your Burning Desire for Control,” about the psychological concept of the human desire to control ourselves and our surroundings, won him a cash prize.
