The Lake Catholic Alumni Association is proud to announce its 2020-2021 Legacy scholarship recipients.  The Alumni Legacy scholarship program celebrates the legacy of being a Lake Catholic Cougar and rewards and recognizes students whose parents, guardians, or grandparents are LC Alumni.

This year’s recipients, who will each receive a $1,000 scholarship, renewable annually while attending Lake Catholic High School include:

Class of 2024 – Katie Morgan (Jason ’89 and Kelly DiCello ’88 Morgan)
Class of 2024 – Charlie Trinetti (Guy and Katie Kilroy ’95 Trinetti)

The application process for legacy students involves writing two essays. First, they chose one of three questions detailing what it means to carry on the Lake Catholic tradition and explaining how Lake Catholic has enhanced their growth in Catholicism; second, they wrote about how they live Lake Catholics core values in their day to day lives on the merits of their personal:

  • Commitment to excellence in and out of the classroom
  • A spirit of respect and compassion
  • Personal integrity
  • A willingness to serve others

The submissions were reviewed by a committee of alumni led by Jennifer Kutas-DeNiro ’87. Committee members included:

  • Brenda Marjak Harris '76
  • Lucia Matson Knowles '87
  • Sean Saari '02
